A sparkling and eclectic compilation of dance/pop tracks, “Pause to Remember” is an album which marks the coming of age of Dublin dance collective, Camden Place. A bumper 20 tracks, some of which have been released on single over the past twelve months, provide a compelling introduction to this striking dance/pop project.
Camden Place is an exciting music initiative which combines the rich lyrical and compositional talents of prolific Irish songwriter, Seán Silke, and the production, arranging and musical skills of Beardfire Studio, to deliver a unique and potent sound, full of energy, melody and mood.
Working with top vocalists and producers, Camden Place have begun making their mark on the dance/pop music scene, covering genres such as dance pop, ambient house, electronica, EDM, hip hop and RnB.
The Beardfire Studio producers are David Virgin, Rohan Healy and Al Quiff, who have, in their collective six decades of musical experience, worked on stage or in studio with the likes of Nick Cave, INXS, Leslie Dowdall (In Tua Nua), Mary Black, The Cruel Sea, RUNAH, Patricia Lalor, Cat Power, Billy Bragg and Lloyd Cole, to name but a few.
Seán Silke is a prolific composer and musician with over 500 original songs in his back catalogue. Seán's extensive output also includes material recorded by Weekend Special (the album “In the heart of the castle”), Chris Kabs (the album “Unlucky in Love”), and Ellen Cosgrove (the album “Unexamined Emotions”).
Rachael Akano, born in Dublin of Nigerian heritage, is a newcomer to the vibrant Dublin dance, hip hop and RnB scene. Rachael has a background of performing gospel music in church. She quickly gained the attention of admirers worldwide through her YouTube and Instagram covers and original material. Now working with Seán Silke and the Beardfire Studio production team, Rachael's haunting vocals superbly interpret the evocative lyrics of eleven tracks on the “Pause to Remember” album.
Stolen City are a Dublin-based three-piece band who pride themselves on their thrilling live shows. Consisting of lead singer Sean McGrath, guitarist David McCabe and drummer Ian Bailey, the band has worked hard since the release of debut EP ‘Stolen City’ in 2017 to make their mark on Ireland’s independent music scene. Stolen City are featured on three of this album's tracks.
Jade C is an alias for a rising pop artist on the Irish scene who for this album has kindly collaborated with composer Seán Silke on three pop/dance tracks.
Magician’s Assistant (Dean Doyle) is an ambient electronica producer from Dublin. He is especially attuned to atmospheric minimalism with futuristic beats. Magician’s Assistant has worked with Camden Place on two tracks in the past – “Will I make it to springtime” (2020) and “A life in photos” (2021) – and his talents are showcased on two of this album's tracks.
Charlie Lane is a producer/remixer from Devon (UK) who has officially produced remixes for David Guetta, Sia, Diplo, Clean Bandit, Charli XCX and many more, as well as releasing original material.
Gráinne Hunt is a talented Irish singer/songwriter who here displays her versatility by providing exuberant vocals on two uptempo dance tracks.
